Fernie names familiar interim CAO
The City of Fernie is pleased to announce that Mr. Don Schaffer will fill the role of Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) effective July 15.
Schaffer was the City of Fernie’s Interim CAO previously and brings with him a great amount of local government experience.
“Mr. Schaffer is experienced with our organizational structure, familiar with the community and has a career’s worth of local government experience to help us navigate our organization as we continue with the recruitment of a new CAO,” said Mayor Ange Qualizza. “We are looking forward to having him return and assist us through the transition of finding a new CAO.”
Council will consider its options to replace the position of the Chief Administrative Officer in the coming months.
