With the stretch of warm weather we’ve had, City of Fernie Parks and Facilities staff have been busy getting our outdoor amenities prepped and open for the season.

Here is what is now ready for the 2023 summer season:

• Tennis and Pickle Ball nets are up, and windscreens will be installed soon.
• Outdoor Volleyball Courts have been raked and are ready for play.
• Soccer field lines have been painted and FYSA is underway.
• Ball fields are open and slow pitch is in full swing.
• Rotary park washrooms.
• Station square water fountain is on.
• Sun sails are up at the Aquatic Centre and Rotary Park.

The Prentice washrooms and water fountain will be open starting next week.

The Splash Park will open for the season in June.
