Fernie and District Search and Rescue was tasked this morning with searching for a group of young hunters who failed to return from a hunting trip last night.

After an extensive search the trio were located around 2:45 p.m. on the Ram Creek Road, Fernie SAR reported on its Facebook page this afternoon.

The vehicle the hunters were riding in had left the road the previous evening and they had been forced to overnight in the wreckage. They were assessed and flown back to Fernie and handed over to BC Ambulance Service with suspected minor injuries, Fernie SAR said.
