Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was called out this morning (August 18) to rescue an injured biker.

“The biker, a local woman, sustained significant injuries to her neck and spine on the Snakebite Trail,” Fernie SAR reported on social media.

Three Fernie SAR CDFL Techs responded via longline (pictured above) to stabilize the injured person and deliver her to BC Ambulance Service.

“Many thanks to the numerous local riders who stayed to provide help and support, and Ascent Helicopters for the precision flying,” Fernie SAR said.
