Outdoor Community Rink closed for season
The City of Fernie has closed the Outdoor Community Rink for the season.
“Thank you to the community volunteers and visitors for another successful season at the Outdoor Community Rink. Unfortunately, due to the sunny days and warmer temperatures, the ice surface conditions are unsafe,” the city noted on its website.
As a result, the rink is closed for the season.
“For your safety, we ask that you adhere to posted signage and remain off the ice surface. We look forward to seeing you back next year.”
Public skating and open ice times continue at the Fernie Memorial Arena.
