RCMP investigating auto thefts in Fernie

Elk Valley RCMP is investigating seven auto thefts which occurred over the weekend within Fernie.

Two vehicles have since been recovered along with numerous other stolen items, such as, credit cards, and several passports.

RCMP is seeking your assistance in identifying these two men who are persons of interest in the numerous thefts in and around Elk Valley areas.

If you have any information regarding the thefts or recognize these two individuals, please contact the Fernie RCMP at (250) 423-4404. Or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You do not have to reveal your identify to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.

RCMP is advising everyone to ensure that their personal properties such as keys, money, electronic devices, etc., are not left in your unlocked vehicles. Lock and secure to reduce thefts.
