Here’s what’s happening at the Fernie Heritage Library in November.
Family Programming
Storytime (Ages 3-5 years)
Tuesdays 11:15 a.m.-noon
Stories, singing and activities for preschoolers and their caregivers.
Toddlertime (Ages 0-2 years)
Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15 a.m.
Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.
Children’s Activities for Grades 1-6
Tuesdays 3:30 -4:45 p.m. ‘Never Bored’ for Tweens.
Drop-in fun for tweens grades 4-7. This month’s theme: CHARADIANS.
Wednesdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Unplugged
This month it’s all about DRAMA GAMES ages 8+, Drop In
Thursdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Lego Club
New challenge every week, for ages 7+ MUST REGISTER to attend.
FUN FRIDAY – Spies and Surprise- Friday November 25, 1:30 -2:30 p.m. for ages 7+. Drop In.
Teens
Thursday, November 17 -, 6-7:30 p.m.
Pizza League for ages 13+. Drop in for pizza and fun.
Adult Programming
Tea and Talk Book Club: Friday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. Hour Glass Factory by Lucy Ridchester. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available from the library.
Walkie Talkie
Wednesday, November 23 – Be Frank With Me by Julia Johnson.
A new drop-in outdoor book club on the last Wednesday morning of each month from 10-11 a.m. We will meet at the library front steps and walk along along the river path and chat as we go. Sign up for your copy of the book from the library.
Stitch and Bitch – Wednesday, November 2.
Drop-In Knitting crocheting and any other yarny endeavour on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the beautiful view of the reference floor at the library.
First Thursday Social – November 3, 7 p.m.
Once a month Social for adults to enjoy a friendly gathering on a monthly theme. November is ‘All about Meditation.’ Bring your ideas and join the lively (or calm) discussion.
Senior Storytime for all ages with Ms Anie (drop in)
Tom Uphill Manor: Wed, November 2 1:30 p.m. with IDES Kindergarten Class.
Rocky Mountain Village Serenity Room: Wed, November 9 at 1:15 p.m. with Creative Minds Preschool
All-Ages Programming
Saturday, November 19: Lego Holiday Join up as an Adult/child team and together build your dream Vacation-in Lego! We will throw in a few challenges to make it more interesting. 1:30-3 p.m. Drop-in.
Saturday, November 19: All Around Colouring: all ages BYO colouring book or use one of ours, pencil crayons provided. 3:30-4:30 p.m.
UPDATE: We are cancelling the Halloween Howler this afternoon due to the weather as we had it planned for the library garden. We are extremely sorry about this and will host another dress up event in the next few weeks. Watch for details.
