Winter doesn’t get any wilder than in Elkford.

The small town at the start of the road, sitting at 1,300 metres above sea level, can receive epic amounts of snowfall.

As the words ‘epic amounts of snowfall’ really resonate with East Kootenay and southwestern Alberta residents right about now, why not go full wild and head to Elkford February 17 – 19 for Winter in the Wild.

An annual community weekend festival, Winter in the Wild features fun for children, families and the entire community.

Elkford isn’t the only Elk Valley town having some fun this weekend. The District of Sparwood is hosting Sparwood Winterfest Feb. 17 and 18.
