COVID cancels New Year’s tradition
COVID-19 has impacted another annual tradition of the holiday season in the East Kootenay.
Kimberley Alpine Resort Dec. 28 announced it is cancelling its annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show.
“In the interest of respecting the public health orders in place for gatherings and events in B.C., we will not be holding our annual NYE Fireworks show this Dec. 31. We look forward to the celebration in 2021!” the resort stated on social media.
