Fire recovery fund begun for Kimberley Gymnastics

The Kimberly Gymnastics Society has partnered with the BC Amateur Sport Fund to raise money to benefit its Fire Recovery Project, with the goal of rebuilding the club following a catastrophic fire Dec. 14.

“Since 1986, we’ve made it our mission to teach gymnastics in a fun and safe environment that allows people of all ages and levels to build confidence while mastering technique. Your donation will help Kimberley Gymnastics Society recover from this heartbreaking loss and support the youth in our community once more,” outlines the BC Amateur Sport Fund page.

The BC Amateur Sport Fund is the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations, a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status (CRA number 88938 6868 RR0001).

The BC Amateur Sport Fund is administered by Sport BC to promote participation, competition, and governance in amateur sport across Canada.

A tax receipt will be provided to those who donate.

Kimberley RCMP reported it is believed the Dec. 14 fire, which also destroyed the Gyminy Cricket Day Care Centre, was suspicious in origin.
