Water main break at malfunction junction
Some District of Invermere water utility users are without service as work is underway on a water main break at 13th Street and 7th Avenue.
The districted noted earlier this afternoon on its Facebook page that a water main break had been discovered at the 13th Street and 7th Avenue intersection this morning.
“Water will be shutoff from 13th Street to 14th Street along 7th Avenue for most of the day. Equipment will be on site shortly to begin locating the break and facilitating the repair,” the district stated.
“With the cold weather specific equipment is required to break through the frost. Water will be off until the repair is completed. At this time no estimated time of completion. The district apologizes for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.”
