Family Programming   

Storytime (Ages 3-5 years)

Tuesdays 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Stories, singing and activities for preschoolers and their caregivers.

Toddlertime (Ages 0-2 years)

Wednesdays 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.

Storytime Social (Ages 0-5 years)

Fridays at 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

We know parents need time to socialize too! Join us for storytime then stay for a coffee social and grown-up conversation in the activity room. Families, siblings and caregivers all welcome!

PJ Story time: Let’s Go CAMPING (Ages 3+ and caregivers) Thursday, June 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

A  Pyjama storytime for you and your stuffie and family! Join Ms Anie and Ms Jodie (from Fernie Early Years) for an hour of songs, activities, stories and snacks all about camping!

Children’s Activities for Grades 1-6  

All participants must have a valid Jr library membership and signed waiver to attend any library programming.

Tuesdays 3:45 -4:45 p.m. Techy Tuesdays  (DROP In ages 8+) June 4 & 11

Learn about circuits, coding with ozobots and more, at this play-based and learner-driven program for kids who like discover and create by trial and error and FUN! Simple snack included

Wednesdays  3:45 -4:45 p.m. Lego Club (DROP IN, ages 7+) June 5 & 12

Those who love a weekly STEAM challenge, come build with Lego.

NEW:  Reading Buddies

Do you have a child who is reluctant to read, who would love to snuggle up to a giant stuffy, with their own selection of books and read aloud? Introducing Reading Buddies. We have rescued four soft and snuggly animals who love to be read to! Children will be asked to take these animals out for reading breaks (under the supervision of an adult) in order to get some one on one time to practice reading in front of a soft and friendly reading companion. Reading buddy animals are waiting to be read to: come to the library to read to one today! Please check our website and Facebook page for updates

Adult Programming

CYBER SENIORS Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Drop-in.

Are you a senior that is keen to learn about their ipad, laptop or has questions about their gmail account, the app store or Youtube? Come join us on Wednesdays and succeed in unravelling some of some of these mysteries in technology.

Art of the Geisha Book Club

Tuesday, June 25, 1:30 p.m. A special collaboration with the Fernie Museum to enrich the experience of the museums’ current exhibit (Art of the Geisha), we will be reading Geisha, A Life by Mineko Iwasaki.  Copies of the book are available for sign out from the library. All are welcome.

Tea and Talk Book Club

Friday, June 28 at 12 p.m. (NOTE-SPECIAL TIME). We will be watching the movie and then discussing this month’s book The Dinner by Herman Koch. Copies of the book are available for sign out from the library. All are welcome.

All Ages Programming

Lemonade Social Wednesday, June 19 4-5:30 p.m. Come celebrate the end of our afterschool programming for the school year. The social includes lemonade games, music, snacks and lots of lemonade!. PLEASE Register to host a lemonade stand or Volunteer: See LINK.
National Indigenous People’s Day Potluck

Friday, June 21: 12-1:30 p.m.

All ages event to celebrate indigenous culture and people in our community.  Please bring a potluck dish to share. Rock painting with Pat Moore . All are welcome
