Full detour concludes May 20
The Trans-Canada Highway will be open for the Victoria Day Long weekend, meaning an end to much of the flood of detour traffic rolling through Kootenay National Park and Highway 95 north of Radium Hot Springs.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) reports the extended closure of the Trans-Canada due to the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 project east of Golden will end at noon on Friday, May 20.
The highway will remain open until noon on Tuesday, May 24 when motorists can expect 30-minute delays and overnight closures (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
