The District of Sparwood and community organizations, including a fully engaged Sparwood Fire Department, staged a fun, satisfying and sometimes soaking Canada Day celebration July 1.

Fire truck rides, fun with fire hoses, bouncy castles, face painting, tasty grub and cupcakes a-plenty served up by council members and Mayor David Wilks and lots more took place during the afternoon celebration at the Recreation and Leisure Centre Grounds and Rotary Park.
