In the late evening hours of Saturday, September 30, 2023, Beverley June Marlow passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years with her family by her side.  Bev was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on July 8, 1934.

Bev spent her life breeding, loving and caring for animals.  She bred Rottweilers and Bostons and was a part of the Cranbrook Kennel Club for many years.  She was involved with the Maverick Riding Club and she enjoyed coaching and mentoring girls for the Maverick Riding Club Queen contest.  She taught dog obedience for the City of Cranbrook and sat on the Board of Directors with the SPCA.   She has left a lot of herself and her love of animals with many people.  Bev had a zest for life and a lot of energy.  She will be missed by many.

Bev married her beloved husband Charles (Chick) on February 21, 1952 and they were blessed with five children.  Bev will be reunited with her beloved Chick who left her side on July 5, 2015.

Bev leaves to mourn her passing her children; Heather Henry and Trace (Kati) Marlow as well as her grandchildren; Cameron, Shandi, Caitlin and Wyatt.  She also leaves her great grandchildren; Matthew, MacKenzie, Lukas, Hailey, Liam, James, Brayden and Lyndon.  She was predeceased by her husband Chick as well as three children; Terry, Donald and Rick; her grandson Dietrich as well as her Uncle Donald, her mother Eunice and her father Gerry Owen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 920 – 11^th St. S., Cranbrook.  For those who wish to remember Bev, donations to Leslie Long Rescue would be appreciated at [email protected].
