Cranbrook RCMP welcomes new Community Policing Team

Cranbrook RCMP is excited to introduce the new Community Policing Team, made up of two dedicated hometown professionals who bring exceptional experience and passion for serving the community they grew up in.

The newly appointed Community Policing Constable, Carlee Munro, has recently returned to Cranbrook after an extensive policing career working in Serious Crime and General Investigation (GI) units in Northern B.C.

Her role will focus on building positive relationships with children and youth, delivering safety education, and providing a trusted connection between local schools and the RCMP. The return of this position will offer lasting benefits to students, families, and educators alike. She is looking forward to the start of the new school year.

Joining her is Kristin Galanov, the new Community Engagement and Crime Prevention Coordinator, whose professional background is rooted in frontline police support and community service. She will oversee the Detachment’s volunteer program, working closely with local volunteers to deliver crime prevention projects, safety initiatives, and public education.

Her enthusiasm for building strong relationships and her deep ties to Cranbrook will help ignite meaningful collaboration between police and the public.

The City of Cranbrook and the Detachment are thrilled to see this team come together. With their deep local roots and shared commitment to the well-being of Cranbrook, they are ready to strengthen partnerships, inspire youth, and create new opportunities for community engagement.

Cranbrook RCMP looks forward to introducing the Community Policing Team at upcoming public events and encourages residents to stop by, meet them, and learn more about their work in the community. They are very excited to meet their community.
