Long-line work scheduled for Community Forest area

Cranbrook Community Forest has issued a public notice alerting residents about upcoming helicopter operations by BC Hydro.

BC Hydro will be conducting critical infrastructure work requiring helicopter long line operations between March 23 and March 27 in the community forest area.

There are three structures that require immediate replacement, and due to their location, helicopter access is the only safe and efficient method to complete the work.

Work will take place at three nearby structure locations (see attached map/screenshot for reference).

During this time, there will be a noticeable increase in activity, including helicopter flights, crews, and equipment in the area.

For your safety, please avoid the marked work areas during operations.

They will have:

Clear signage posted;

Ground crews onsite to guide and notify the public;

Active monitoring of the work zones.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as they complete these important upgrades.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact BC Hydro.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
