We’ve had some eager skaters or hockey players clear off a section of ice at Idlewild Lake.

But with this warm weather, we are no longer checking the thickness of the ice, so there is zero guarantee the ice is safe.

Please do not skate or walk on the ice at Idlewild, Elizabeth Lake or any of our local water bodies because the ice may be too thin.

Be smart, be safe.
