Slight delay in reopening of transfer station
The Regional District of East Kootenay reports that repairs at the Fernie Transfer Station are taking slightly longer than expected today – and now anticipates the site will reopen at 2 p.m. this afternoon (June 17).
The Sparwood Transfer Station on Highway 3 south of Sparwood is open until 5 p.m. as an alternate location for residents.
