Rising Cranbrook taxes and bureaucracy

It is Cranbrook City election time and as a city taxpayer I want to share my concerns about our city taxes and staffing costs with all the potential candidates.
Cranbrook property taxes have increased 25.58% over the last four years under the current mayor and city councillors. Each year our taxes have gone up significantly under the past city leadership. Here are the increases:
2023 – 5.87 % UP;
2024 – 8.32 % UP;
2025 – 6.40 % UP;
2026 – 4.99 % UP.
Cranbrook city staffing and bureaucracy costs as per the Cranbrook Statement of Financial Information (SOFI available on the city website) have gone up 21% or $4.181,079 in four years.
2022 – $ 15,096,316;
2023 – $ 16,870,241;
2024 – $ 18,894,973;
2025 – $ 19,277,395.
A reminder to ask all the candidates including the two incumbents running for election again how they plan to address the ever increasing tax burden placed on Cranbrook citizens and how they plan to take control over the ever growing city bureaucracy?
