Revolution Earthworks Ltd. working on behalf of the City of Cranbrook and the BC Housing Corporation will be Installing a new water service for the Claydon Village Re- Development at 2220 – 2nd Street South.

This work will require a complete shutdown of traffic along 2nd Street South between Victoria Avenue South and 24th Avenue South starting at 7am on Monday, September 21, 2026 through until 5pm on Wednesday, September 23.

There will be no access allowed through the work area as the road will be completely closed. Detours around the closure will be in place along with signage. Every effort will be made to allow local traffic and pedestrian traffic to access their current parking lots and residences during this work.

An important note, that water services will be down temporarily in this area on Tuesday, September 22, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Once the water service is restored nearby residents may notice some discolouration in the water. Simply run your cold water taps until the water runs clear.
