Elkford and Sparwood candidate’s forums May 7/ 8
Election 2013 will come to life May 7 and 8 in Sparwood and Elkford when All-Candidates’ Forums will be hosted by the chambers of commerce and Free Press.
Bill Bennett (Liberals) is seeking a fourth straight term with NDP candidate Norma Blissett aiming to halt that streak on May 14.
The Sparwood forum is May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Causeway Bay and Elkford’s is May 8 at the Elkford Community Conference Centre, Teck Hall, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Both forums will be moderated by lawyer Glen Purdy.
The format of the forums will feature 40 minutes of open microphone and 40 minutes of pre-submitted questions.
