Free transit to the Farmers’ Market
The City of Cranbrook and BC Transit are once again offering free rides to the Saturday Cranbrook Farmers’ Market. Passengers must indicate to their driver they are going to or coming from the market in order to ride for free.
From now until August 31, 2013 the summer Cranbrook Farmers’ Market runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., but the free bus rides are from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. That gives early birds and last minute shoppers equal access to transit time.
The free rides will continue when the fall Farmers’ Market schedule begins with hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. September 7 to October 12.
The markets began for the season June 22 and will be hitting full stride this Saturday, June 29.
