Low flow rebate program ends; all 200 rebates issued

The 2011 City of Cranbrook Low Flow Toilet Rebate program is being touted as a complete success today (Dec. 2), as the final $50 rebate was issued.

Since May 2, 200 low flow toilet rebates have been provided to residents who replaced large volume toilets with either low flow or dual flush fixtures in their homes. Since the inception of the toilet rebate program in May 2010, a total of 400 rebates have been issued.

The City of Cranbrook wishes to thank everyone who took advantage of the rebate program in order to help both the environment and help reduce the amount of water our cty water and sewer system needs to deal with on a daily basis.

Remember, every little bit helps. A very special thank you for the wonderful support of the Regional District of East Kootenay and the staff at the Cranbrook Transfer Station. Without their great partnership, this rebate program again would not have been the great success it truly was.
