Letter to the Editor

I have written this letter over in my mind many times and now put ink to paper. What was I thinking? Dogs gone, no tags, how will they be returned home? Mat and Sol, nine-year-old Shepherd crosses, went AWOL November 26. They have done this before and always returned home within two to three days. Not this time. They have collars but they don’t have tags. Tags would tell anyone that they are loved and cared for, that they have a home. Too lazy, too busy, nine years later, just did not get it done. Now it may be too late. If you come upon both or one of these loved dogs please contact us or take them to the SPCA or local vet.  Mat and Sol like to chase wildlife. That is against the code of the bush. I would appreciate if anyone upheld the code and did what is permitted when dogs chase wildlife, to contact us and let us know. Roberta  250-489-0174. I urge pet owners to have some form of identification so a finder knows there is someone to contact to return a wayward pet.
