Cranbrook Search and Rescue open house Saturday
Cranbrook Search and Rescue will be hosting an open house on Saturday, May 23, starting at 11 a.m.
Located at the Cranbrook Search and Rescue Hall at 38-7th Avenue South, the open house will run until 4 p.m..
There will be a barbecue with burgers and hotdogs. There will also be demonstrations of Cranbrook SARs’ skills of auto extrication demos using the Jaws of Life, as well as rope rescue demos. Also on display will be mapping; communications; trucks, Side-by-Sides and trailer; and much more!
Auto extrication demos will be at noon and 2 p.m.; and Rope Rescue demos will be in between.
“Not only do these demonstrations give you a chance to see what we do, but it also gives us more practice,” said Nick Bedwell of Cranbrook Search and Rescue.
