Geraldine SALVADOR Obituary
Geraldine Salvador passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 at the respectful age of 89.
Gerry is survived by her older brother, Francis; sister, Kay; son, Jerome; two granddaughters, Sydney (Brad) (their dog Elliot), Taylor-Anne and two great grandchildren, Belle and Andy, and lastly her beloved cat, Bandit.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph of Billings Missouri, and Mary (Bachman) of Planter Field Texas; siblings: Joseph, Peggy, John, Bill, Rose, Veronica, Rita, twin brother Gerald, and beloved husband, Cirino Salvador.
Geraldine was born April 29, 1935 on a farm near Stalwort, Saskatchewan, shortly after the Crumly family settled in Liberty SK. Gerry moved to Fernie and while working at a dental clinic, met her husband, Cirino Salvador. The two married in 1956.
A woman with a heart of pure gold, Gerry, was supportive and always giving advice to navigate life. She had a warm presence and a beautiful smile. Well known amongst friends and family for her spaghetti dinners and many nights of eating cabbage rolls from a big roaster. Her cooking abilities have been passed down as a passion shared by both granddaughters.
Gerry will be remembered as an elegant, feisty, independent, and generous woman who instilled in her family the importance of kindness, and love.
She will be fondly missed by everyone who called her mom, grandma, aunty, and friend.
Gerry was exceptionally close with her two granddaughters, Sydney and Taylor-Anne, both having lived with her at various times in life.
We want to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Rocky Mountain Village in Fernie; their professionalism, compassion and level of care brought much peace and comfort to our family. We thank all staff for their support.
You will be greatly missed, Mrs. Salvador.
