Not everyone who goes to Las Vegas returns home richer than they left, but ‘The Amazing Jeremy’ says he did just that.

Invermere’s own The Amazing Jeremy went to Las Vegas to study at the McBride Magic & Mystery School, operated by Las Vegas magic headliner Jeff McBride and his teacher, Eugene Burger.

While in Vegas, The Amazing Jeremy not only got to work with McBride and Burger, but also met magic legend Mario Morris, and performed his favorite trick Linking Rope in front of the Caesars Palace Casino.

“I guess you could say I’ve performed on the Strip in Las Vegas, now! If that’s not a win, I don’t know what is!” grinned The Amazing Jeremy.

The Amazing Jeremy’s interest in magic began when he was five-years-old, since then he has taken many courses. One was in Calgary, Alberta with Brent Smith owner of Vanishing Rabbit and Sean Watson who currently performs in Las Vegas, Nevada and Calaway Park, Alta. and mentored under Kiit Kiitokii Hypnotist of Pagan Reserve, Brocket, Alberta.

Then on to Magic & Mystery School in Las Vegas. He has performed in various venues throughout the Columbia Valley, Kimberley, Idaho and Alberta.

Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger are the founders of the McBride Magic & Mystery School. Both were named among the 100 most influential magicians of the 20^th Century by magician’s trade magazine MAGIC, and have won numerous awards between them. They have been teaching together since 1987, conducting over a dozen class events each year ranging from their popular Master Classes to extended classes, classes teaching magic to the School “on the road,” this year to the U.K. and Amsterdam.

Former students have won awards at every major convention in the US, and even at the international championship know as F.I.S.M.
