Like all communities big and small in the East Kootenay, Kimberley threw a fun and colourful party for Canada’s 159^th birthday, Wednesday, July 1.

Musical entertainment in the beautiful new outdoor stage at Centre 64, along with food and specialty vendors, had young and old dancing, munching goodies and catching up with friends and neighbours throughout the afternoon.

In full spirit, many attendees were decked out in their finest Canadian apparel, at Centre 64 and elsewhere in the city.

Happy birthday Canada – true north strong and brave.
