Music on Main returning
Fridays and Saturdays are going to be rocking in Radium Hot Springs again this summer.
Tourism Radium / Radium Chamber of Commerce is bringing the popular Friday/ Saturday evening Music on Main back to run in conjunction with Market on Main, starting on June 29 and running every Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. until Friday Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 (car show weekend).
“This year we have added Friday September 7 and are excited to have Market on Main run on every long weekend Saturdays as well. This event is designed to be a community event, giving our locals and visitors a fantastic free musical event to attend,” said Kara Cassidy, events coordinator for Tourism Radium.
“In 2012, Music on Main drew an average of 460 guests per night over a 10 week period, with the largest guest attendance at Rockin’ on Main September 14 and 15 in conjunction with the Columbia Valley Classics Annual Autumn Show and Shine. This event drew approximately 3,000 guests,” Cassidy reported.
While Music on Main doesn’t begin until June 28, there is a Summer Kick Off Party to help get things rolling on the Victoria day long weekend, on Saturday, May 18.
All the events take place in front of the Radium Hot Springs/Parks Canada Visitor Information Centre, now ranked in the top 10 busiest in British Columbia.
Tourism Radium / Radium Chamber of Commerce are also currently accepting and welcoming sponsorships for Music on Main.
