Full house expected for Small Business Week luncheon

It`s Small Business Week and a full house is expected at the Monthly General Luncheon of the Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, October 23.

The theme for Small business Week is `Success ahead! Map your Future Growth.

According to Karin Penner, manager of the Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce, “We have a full program. People will want to come early and visit the mini trade fair going on in the lobby of the Prestige Hotel. Give yourself time to visit the booths prior to the luncheon.”

The luncheon will start at 11:45 a.m.sharp and will feature the launch of BizPal a program that Kevin Weaver, Business & Economic Development Manager for the City of Cranbrook has been working on.

The luncheon will feature three panel discussions with members of the business community. Topics of discussion will be: Success in retail; Succession in Business and Who can help small business.

Keith Powell of Kootenay Business Magazine will serve as moderator of the panel. ”It really is a lunch and learn time,” said Penner, “and we’re excited to see the event unfold.”
