Man injured in Sunday afternoon crash

A young man was injured Sunday afternoon (May 12) in a motor vehicle accident after his red Ford Ranger lost control while passing other vehicles in front of him on Highway 3/93 east of Cranbrook. The accident happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. It’s not known exactly what caused the vehicle to lose control; however road construction and uneven pavement in the area may have been an influencing factor in the crash. Cranbrook Fire and Rescue Services, RCMP and BC Ambulance Service responded to the scene quickly. Flaggers controlled traffic while first responders dealt with the scene.
