Dike work preparation to briefly close part of dog park
The District of Invermere has received funding to increase the flood resiliency of the flood protection dike along Toby Creek to meet the new climate change related flood water elevations.
In preparation for the dike elevation increase, work crews will be clearing the brush from the dike expansion area at the Ray Brydon Dog Park to allow for the earth works later this year. There will be falling trees, brushing, and chipping.
The dike area of the dog park will to be closed during this time with the closure area being signed and barricaded.
This brush clearing work is anticipated to start Monday, March 17 and will take place for approximately one to two weeks and will take place from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day until completion.
We thank you for your cooperation for staying away from closed areas.
