Local joins FWCP Columbia Region Board

Fairmont Hot Springs resident Wendy Booth has been selected as the new Public Representative on the Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program Columbia Region Board (FWCP).

Wendy was a director with the Regional District of East Kootenay for a decade and served as vice chair for six years. She has extensive experience in board governance and strategic planning.

Wendy was also a director and vice chair with Columbia Basin Trust for many years and has passion for community development and working with communities throughout the Columbia Basin.

Wendy was also an executive member and president of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities.

Wendy has lived in the Columbia Valley for 25 years and calls Fairmont home where she and her husband reside. She used to own a whitewater rafting company, has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and enjoys spending time outside skiing, golfing or being on the water.
