The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Business Excellence Awards finalists have been selected.

Between August 26 and September 9, the chamber accepted nominations from the public. Anyone could nominate a Columbia Valley Business for any of the 11 Awards Categories as they saw fit.

This year, the chamber introduced the People’s Choice Award. All nominees were placed on the ballot for this award. This was the only award that was chosen by the public. Everyone had the opportunity to vote for up to three of their favourite businesses. Voting closed on September 28.

Every nominee was given a chance to accept their nomination and those that did, progressed to our BEA Nomination Committee, an external, independent panel comprised of community leaders throughout the Valley. They deliberated, analyzed the nomination forms, and decided on the finalists and award recipients.

We want to extend a huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and to those who have become finalists. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such a rich and involved business community, full of entrepreneurial leaders who make our valley vibrant.

We look forward to celebrating this evening of excellence with you all. This year, the Gala is at Ullr Bar on October 20. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.
