Invermere Film Festival organizers are excited to announce the first Young Filmmaker’s Competition, open to all residents of the Columbia Valley.

There will be two categories in the competition: 18 & Under; and 12 & Under.

“Whether the entrants have made films before, or would be up to give it a first time try, we are creating a special newsletter (see signup link below) for the competition that will offer entry information, links, videos, and tips, to help and inspire them,” said festival organizer Bill Johnston.

“They can enter as individuals, or form a production team and do it together,” he added.

The deadline to submit the finished films is  Dec. 3, 2021.

The Winners will be featured as part of the Invermere Film Festival in February (2022) at the Columbia Valley Centre.

All they need is name, email address, school, and grade.
