Chamber hosting townhalls on growing issues in city

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting two upcoming townhall meetings centred around the uptick in petty crime, homelessness, and mental health and addictions struggles in the city and invites people to submit questions.

These meetings are to provide the opportunity to the business community to ask their most pressing questions and learn about various actions and initiatives in the community, the chamber noted.

The first townhall on February 24 will feature Kootenay-Columbia MP Rob Morrison, Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka and City of Cranbrook Mayor Lee Pratt.

The second townhall on March 2 at College of the Rockies will feature various support agencies in the community, including Cranbrook Community Connections Society, ANKORS and Street Angels.

The events will be done in a face-to-face/virtual blended with limited seating and will be streamed live through Zoom.

Send the chamber your questions for both government and support agencies in our community and make sure your voice is heard.

Questions can be directed to [email protected].
