College Nursing and Kinesiology students holding health fair

Third annual health promotion fair will offer information on 10 different health-related topics

College of the Rockies’ first-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Kinesiology students will host their annual Health Promotion Fair on Thursday, February 6 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Baker Street Professional Centre.

Students will be on-hand to provide information on a variety of topics, including: Trusting your Gut, Cannabis Education, Distracted Driving, Fall Prevention, Infection Prevention, Elements of Well-Being, Vaping, Physical Literacy, and the impact of Caffeine.

The Annual Health Promotion Fair provides an opportunity for students to research a specific topic and to share the most up-to-date information with the public.

“Through their participation in this Fair, our students are given the opportunity to engage the public in a meaningful way and to hone their teaching and learning skills,” said Heather Hepworth, Dean, Health and Human Services. “The public shows wonderful support for our students through their attendance at this event each year, and they benefit by learning some new and valuable health information.”
