College of the Rockies will host Arthur Manuel on Thursday, April 7 for a discussion on Decolonization, Reconciliation and New Directions.

The talk, the latest in the collegeā€™s Indigenous Speaker Series, is sponsored by the College of the Rockies Faculty Association and the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of BC.

ā€œMr. Manuel is an impressive representative of his ancestors and, against many odds, stands up for the rights of Indigenous people,ā€ said Andrew Judge, College of the Rockiesā€™ Aboriginal Education Coordinator. ā€œThe community is poised to learn a great deal from his career and dedication to reconciliation.ā€

Manuelā€™s presentation will take place in the Aboriginal Gathering Place at the collegeā€™s main campus on Thursday, April 7 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.Ā A social with light refreshments will precede the event from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
