Fiscal responsibility and moving city forward key for Mayor Pratt
City of Cranbrook Mayor Lee Pratt is pleased to announce that he will be seeking a third term and is dedicated to moving the city forward.
Over the past two terms he has been committed to an honest approach to securing solutions to the mandates provided by the people of Cranbrook.
“The people of Cranbrook first elected me in 2014 with a clear mandate to fix roads, curb unnecessary spending and implement a responsible approach to managing the financial affairs of the city,” said Mayor Pratt. “With hard work and diligence, I delivered on and maintained those promises over two terms. Budgets should always be based on the needs of the community, not the wants of certain individuals.
“These are your hard-earned tax dollars and we are to be responsible caretakers, not gatekeepers. Under my leadership the taxes raised from your hard work will be respected and the funds we use will be put back to work for you and all who call Cranbrook home. I remain committed to delivering on this important mandate in my third term.”
Pratt said he has a long-term vision for the City of Cranbrook.
“That vision involves keeping up development efforts and seeing the city grow into the most desirable destination in British Columbia for residents and visitors alike. Cranbrook is a gem and I will ensure we protect our way of life and continue to grow so our people have good jobs, affordable places to call home, smooth roads to drive on and safe neighbourhoods where our businesses and families can thrive,” he stated.
Pratt concluded, “With the support of my wife Loopy, and our family, it continues to be an honour to serve the citizens of Cranbrook. I am quite proud of what has been accomplished over the past eight years, but there is still much work to be done. Together, with your support, we will win this election and continue the important work of moving our city forward.”
The campaign to re-elect Lee Pratt has launched its official website: voteleepratt.ca.
The municipal election is October 15.
