Horoscope for the week beginning Oct. 3

Michael OConnorBy Michael O’Connor

Tip of the Week

The Moon waxes to full this week and will culminate as a Lunar Eclipse. As explained last week, this eclipse is the second in a special series of four consecutive eclipses of the Moon which are prophetically referred to as ‘Blood Moons.’ Such titles are neither strictly the domain of astrology or astronomy, but of the sensationalized descriptions of imaginative people. But the title does seem quite fitting all the same. As it is, these are woven into a tale of intrigue and are considered to be significant and powerful portents of change on a mass, collective level.

Of course, change is one of those perennial certainties that defy all other opinions and objections – a core feature of the game of life. Yet there certainly are peaks and valleys. As cycles go, these are usually distributed across a wide playing field called life such that while some people are experiencing valleys, others are undergoing peaks. It is for this reason that some question the validity of any form of prediction. Assuming that everyone could or should undergo the same experience is however rare, at least, and generally speaking naïve.

However, there are those rare moments in time that host events that have a mass collective impact. The first Moon walk back in 1969 might be deemed one of those moments or when Comet Hale-Bopp crossed the skies back in 1997, for example, represent such moments. The launching of the Internet as public domain back in 1993 represents another one of these collective peak moments.

So, now we have the frame of reference of a tetrad of Lunar Eclipses. These may be regarded as and may in fact provide a frame of reference in time for pivotal world events. The international gathering of forces in the Iraq and Syria represent one example of such an event. There may be others yet and if some prophesies are accurate; there will be other more celestial spectacles to come. One thing is for sure, the current crisis in the Middle East has captured mass, global attention. That this tetrad of eclipses ends in September 2015 suggests that this show has just begun. Stay tuned!

October 3 – 9

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Creating and realizing harmony in your most important relationships remains a central theme. There is reason to say you feel excited, enthusiastic and fulfilled. All this amidst a significant process of change and transformation over the past couple of years finds you in new territory with new perspectives, perhaps even a changed body. Embrace the change and continue to cooperate on all fronts.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

The process of weaving a healthier rhythm, attitude and approach into your lifestyle continues. A core goal is to increase your overall levels of confidence. Since everything we do we do to feel good and since it is linked to good health, well… fill in the blank. This is where the investment of giving to the situation implies making better lifestyle choices.

Gemini (May 21 – June 21)

A creative cycle is underway. Inspirations to both embrace and express art and culture is on your radar. Your biggest challenge stands to be time management. Getting excited and taking on too much is a distinct possibility and will be an issue to overcome through to next summer. In the positive, this cycle presents a big opportunity to fulfill some creative dreams.

horocancerCancer (June 21 – July 22)

Creating beauty at home and with family is in the spotlight. It is inspiring you to engage with new designs and plans. Yet it also indicates that you have to put in more time, energy and effort than usual. This trend will continue over the coming weeks. But at least the focus is upon family so the returns stand to be immediate.

Leo (July 22 – Aug 23)

You are in a cycle that suggests you are covering a lot of ground. A mix of travel, errands, networking, meeting new people and altogether tending to a lot of details on a variety of fronts is likely. Fortunately you are in an energetic and adventurous mood. Imaginative input and some measure of research are also implied. Focus to activate successful relationships above all.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Establishing new foundations and momentums is the basic goal now. Renovations of some kind are implied. These may be linked to your home or office, but also perhaps to your style of approach or basic philosophy. It is important that you exercise faith in yourself and in the overall process as you enter new territory.

horolibraLibra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)

An expansive and pioneering cycle continues. It is inspiring you to try new things open to new ideas and meet new people. This is spurring your energy levels to levels you have not experienced for some time. It does require that you make investments or pay membership dues and so on. But that is the way the game is played so be willing to play.

Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)

Working behind the scenes is likely and ideal now. Whether you are taking care of loose ends and unfinished projects and/or drawing up plans for new ones, do duck out of the limelight for a while. Your ambitions remain strong and this does include public and professional expansion. But at least in the short term, do what you can to recharge your energy cells.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)

Following through on letting go of the old in preparation for bringing in the new continues. The key to this follow-through process is to trust it as an important feature of your destiny at this time. The good news is that it is almost over. But it will linger into next year even though the main thrust of it will end in December.

Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)

This is a go-ahead time in your professional life. It does include the likely prospect of acquiring new tools and skills. There are also indications that you have to access deeper reserves of faith and confidence to confront fears and persevere. It remains important as well that you recognize the talents, creative abilities and leadership of others then aim to collaborate.

Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)

An expansive cycle in terms of vision, perspective and philosophy continues. It may also simply a time of increased social and cultural stimulation. But it is likely that people and circumstances will inspire you one way or another. You are also in a bit of a punchy mood and want to break through any inner or outer lines of resistance. See a bigger picture.

horoPiscesPisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Out with the old and in with the new is an important theme now. The key is to trust the flow of endings and to embrace the new as it steadily rolls in. Just like a turning wheel with a marker point, it illustrates how quickly the new cycle begins as the previous one ends – immediately. So persevere and be willing to get or give new training.
