New paleontology gallery opened at museum

The Cranbrook History Centre added another piece to its ever-expanding assortment of displays and services.

The centre’s paleontology display was officially opened to the public on Monday, June 25.

The Kootenay East is alive with half a billion years of history! Get ready to witness trilobites and fossils that are over 500 million years old. All from our own region, found and donated by Michel Plourde. Chris New and Chris Jenkins helped the museum get hold of the collection

The display in on hand thanks to funding from Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance, City of Cranbrook and Cranbrook History Centre.
