Police investigating after pedestrian hit by vehicle
Cranbrook RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of a female who was hit by a vehicle yesterday.
At approximately noon Nov. 25, a 19-year-old female was crossing at the intersection of 4th St N and Victoria Avenue in Cranbrook.
The female stated that when she was crossing, several vehicles had stopped but added that a vehicle came “from out of nowhere” and struck her and then drove off.
The pedestrian went to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital to be checked out and was released with minor injuries, reported Cst. Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
Cranbrook RCMP are requesting anyone who witnessed the collision or who might have information about the incident to contact the detachment at 250-489-3471.
