RedGirl Trio performing with Maddisun May 17 at Key City

Rhonda Shippy

Fernie’s RedGirl Trio (Anie Radish, Mike Hepher and guest Rhonda Shippy) will perform their light shade of bluegrass and folk music at the Fisher Peak Winter Ale concert on May 17 at Key City Theatre’s gallery stage.

RedGirl’s original song “Salmon Hymn” recently received airtime on CBC radio North by Northwest. The show will feature Anie’s fearless voice, clawhammer banjo, guitar, and occasionally a sassy ukulele, along with Mike’s mandolin and Rhonda’s standup bass.

Cranbrook’s Maddisun, a free-spirited indie pop/folk artist, will open the event with some of her new soulful songs created during travels to Ireland and Los Angeles.

The series is presented through a collaboration between Key City Theatre and the Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society and sponsored by The Heid Out Restaurant and Fisher Peak Brewing Company.

Tickets are available at the Key City Theatre box office www.keycitytheatre.com/
