Work beginning June 8 may reduce water pressure
A complete rebuild and upsizing of the internal components of the City of Cranbrook’s pressure reduction station (PRV) number 4 is set to start on Monday, June 8, which may very slightly reduce the overall water pressure in the neighbourhood for a few days.
Two nearby residences will be directly impacted by the shutdown, with temporary overland water service hookups in place to provide potable water to both properties for the duration of this project.
As with any work on our water system, once the PRV is brought back online and water pressure is restored there is a chance nearby residents may notice some dirty water for a short period.
This is not considered a health risk. If you notice some dirty water, simply run your cold water tap until the water runs clear.
