AGM to profile environmental optimism

Join Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook for the 2018 branch AGM, and a dose of environmental optimism, on Tuesday, April 17, 7 p.m. at the Centre 64 Studio in Kimberley. Members and the public are welcome.

Ingrid Liepa

Our communities are faced with some great environmental challenges, and with them great opportunities. Kimberley’s own happiness guru, Ingrid Liepa, will be opening the evening with an address on optimism as it pertains to sustainable living and environmental advocacy today.

In her work, Ingrid has been engaged in tough topics: most recently Climate Change. She’ll be offering insight into how she’s maintained a positive outlook, and stayed motivated to create change.

In our brief AGM to follow, branch Board Directors and staff will review results from our 2018 Member Survey, offer details on our work this year and our plans for the next.

The proceedings will close with a tribute to long-time Go Wild volunteer Jenn Meens, and to the many guides who have lead students into the wild over the program’s ten-year duration.

Members are encouraged to attend, and to make their vote count! Background materials, including the agenda, last year’s minutes and proposed changes to branch bylaws can be found on the event’s webpage.

This event is part of a week-long celebration of Earth Week (April 16-22) hosted by Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook. Find out the many ways you can be involved on Wildsight’s events listing, or by following us on Facebook.
