The BC SPCA is calling on passionate animal lovers to inspire their friends in support of vulnerable animals, with its Lock-In for Love fundraising event.

From June 1-17 people across B.C. can put their love for animals to work right from their phone or keyboard.

“The hope is to raise $285,000 by June 17, but we can’t do it without a committed network of animal lovers,” said Alina Wilson, senior officer of digital giving for the BC SPCA. “Any person can make an incredible difference when they dedicate their time and effort to a cause that’s close to their hearts.”

Funds will support where the need is greatest, from wildfire response to animal protection investigations. Participants can also choose to dedicate their funds to their local Animal Care Centre, providing medical care, training, enrichment supplies, and more – everything an animal needs to get ready for their forever home!

It takes just a moment to create a free personal or team fundraising page and start asking friends and family to consider a donation for animals in need.

Then participants are invited to cap off their hard work with the optional in-person finale at their local participating BC SPCA on Saturday, June 17. They will cuddle up with one of the animals they are helping, while making their final fundraising push.
