EK Climate Hub website will host candidate answers

On September 10, EK Climate Hub circulated questions to all candidates in the upcoming local government elections.

The questions are available on EK Climate Hub website hereĀ 2022 Local Elections | EK Climate Hub (eastkootenayclimatehub.ca)Ā .

Candidate responses will be added to the website by October 3 and continue to be added as they come in.

We would like the public to know that thereĀ areĀ a lotĀ of things that we can do locally to reduce emissions and become more resilient to extreme weather events that are happening as a result of climate change.

The questions and article on theĀ websiteĀ highlight these.

Voters should have the opportunity to know where candidates stand on these topics. This is why we have asked the questions and are posting the answers.

EK Climate Hub encourages others to ask their candidates questions as well.

Our questions are available as a resource amongst other resources that are on our website as well.

Candidates for the following,Ā receivedĀ EK Climate Hub questions on Sept. 10 and responses are coming in now.
