New business makes zero-waste shopping more accessible

Travelling Top-Ups Mobile Refillery is a new business based in Kimberley with the mission to make zero waste shopping more convenient and accessible for folks located in Kimberley, Cranbrook, and everywhere in between.

Those looking to reduce the waste they create at home now have the option to order online and have products delivered, instead of having to make an extra trip to the store.

Lindsay Sackett, the owner and founder of Travelling Top-Ups, uses her e-bike to tow the mobile refillery from place-to-place in a bike trailer.

For those unfamiliar with the concept of a refillery, it is a store or retailer where customers can purchase goods in their own reusable containers instead of single use packaging, with the aim of reducing waste.

After browsing the Travelling Top-Ups online shop, customers who place an order will receive it at their doorstep the next day, Monday through Saturday, providing they live between Kimberley and Cranbrook.

Customers are invited to leave their containers outside their delivery address to be filled with the product they purchased, but can also select to have their order delivered in reusable containers for a small deposit.

Catch Travelling Top-Ups at Flora Bora Blooms in Kimberley, and the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Farmers Market, on alternating Saturdays until early September to say hello.
