The following is a summary of School District No. 5 (SD5) board motions carried during its June 9 meeting.
Motions Carried
General
That the Board writes a letter of thanks to the SD5 staff and school community for managing so well under the new COVID-19 conditions/restrictions.
That the Board drafts a letter to send to the mayors and councillors of each municipality and the Regional District of East Kootenay indicating the board’s interest to meet annually. The board later agreed to postpone sending this letter until the 2020/21 school year.
The following is a summary of SD5 board motions carried during its June 17 special board meeting.
Board consented to three readings of the Annual Budget Bylaw.
That the Board of Education reads a first time the 2020/21 Annual Budget for the amount of $74,391,479 on June 17, 2020.
That the Board of Education reads a second time, the 2020/21 Annual Budget for the amount of $74,391,479 on June 17.
That the Board of Education reads a third time, the 2020/21 Annual Budget for the amount of $74,391,479 on June 17.
